Dr. Owen J. Bargreen CS of the Washington Wine Blog is writing about the 2012 vintage of Oregon Pinot noir and he’d like samples sent to him by September 15. He writes:
“Many critics and winemakers alike have heralded 2012 as one of the great vintages for Oregon Pinot noir in the past twenty years. The freshness and intensity of the wines was quite apparent. I’d like to revisit this exciting vintage in Oregon. While we had a glimpse into what was very exciting wines with good depth and tension, a revisit will give consumers and wine collectors a good indication of how these wines are finally showing, as they needed a little time to settle.”
Earlier this year Bargreen produced his 2019 Pacific Northwest Rose Report, highlighting many top Oregon Rose wines and has recently completed his fourth Oregon Report for Washington Wine Blog and International Wine Report in which he reviewed more than 500 Oregon wines.
Bottle duplicates, while not necessary, are helpful in case of bottle variation, plus tech sheets and contact info in case of a follow-up interview. Wines should be sent by September 15, 2019 to:
