Since 2021, the Oregon Wine Board has partnered with Community Benchmark and WISE to provide Oregon wineries with actionable, real-time insights into tasting room performance. This program helps wineries better understand their direct-to-consumer business and management practices, benchmark their performance against regional and statewide peers, and identify opportunities for growth in visitation and direct-to-consumer sales.

How the Program Works
Participating wineries integrate their point-of-sale system with Community Benchmark’s secure platform. Each winery receives access to a personalized dashboard, along with broader industry insights. Sales and visitation data are aggregated and anonymized to generate regional and statewide benchmarks.
The Oregon Wine Board invests in this program to provide action-oriented insights to Oregon wine businesses and regional groups, creating competitive advantage and accelerating Oregon wine’s growth in tourism and the DTC channel.
OWB supports this program via:
- Subsidizing Oregon winery participation in program through formal partnership agreement with Community Benchmark
- Hosting twice-yearly webinar with Community Benchmark and WISE, providing best practices on top performing tasting rooms and other valuable DTC insights
- Sharing statewide data quarterly via dashboard on website (in development)
- Partnering with regional associations to increase participation, enhancing the value of regional and statewide benchmarks

Getting Involved
Enrollment
Wineries may enroll directly through Community Benchmark by contacting John Keleher at Community Benchmark. Once registered, the CB team will guide you through POS integration and onboarding.
Winery Requirements
- One-time $199 enrollment fee paid directly to Community Benchmark
- Integration of tasting room POS system with the CB platform
- Ongoing participation to ensure consistent and reliable data reporting
