2024 Oregon Industry Labor & Salary Study
Overview
The OWB sponsors this study to collect data for Oregon winery and vineyard businesses to use in benchmarking and planning for labor costs. It is modeled on the Wine Business Monthly national survey, but provides a more detailed look at Oregon-based data.
With enough responses, the study will:
- Provide meaningful data on 21 positions
- Identify gender-based pay equity issues and opportunities
- Offer regional-specific insights
This study has been conducted almost annually since 2017 by Dr. Jeff Peterson of Vinum Docet.
Participation
Each vineyard and winery operation in Oregon is invited to participate. The survey should be completed by one person at your business with access to wage/salary information: e.g. owner, GM, HR manager, finance director.
Results – Symposium + Regional Workshops
Results will be presented by Dr. Peterson at the Oregon Wine Symposium. The event takes place Feb. 3-4, 2025.
Dr. Peterson will also host a series of workshops around the state in late winter. These workshops will provide a unique opportunity for each region to convene, ask questions, and discuss the implications of the report for local businesses.
The regional workshops will be held on the following dates, in conjunction with OWB Strategic Plan Listening Sessions. To register, go here.
