Entries are now being accepted for THE Rosé Competition, now in its second year. Hosted by Bob Ecker, Napa Valley based wine writer and founder of THE Rosé Competition and Shari Gherman, president of the American Fine Wine Competition (AFWC), the organization is accepting dry, sweet and sparkling rose wines from all over the world. Judging will take place on April 6th, 2019 at FIU’s Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management, North Miami, and will be followed by SIP, an after party on April 7th that promotes participating wines to consumers.
The judging panel includes a balance of sommeliers, chefs, wine writers, retailers and educators. If interested, please register here and ship the wines ASAP so they have time to settle before the judging. Cost is $65.00 per wine entered. Deliveries will be accepted now through March 30th, 2019. Please send four bottles of each wine entered, three for the judging and one signed bottle for promotion at the auctions for the fund-raising events AFWC hosts throughout the year, including SIP. In the past eleven years, AFWC has donated more than $1,100,000 to charity.
