John Szabo MS, a passionate educational leader for volcanic wines founded Volcanic Wines International in order to take the leading role in defining and establishing a Volcanic Wine Movement, and to provide educational and promotional opportunities for volcanic wine producers internationally.
After the success of the first International Volcanic Wine Conference (IVWC) held on March 27, 2018, in New York, Volcanic Wines International will host the second annual International Volcanic Wine Conference in New York on June 5, 2019.
The first International Volcanic Wine Conference was a first-of-its-kind, full-day educational program for wine industry professionals and media. The conference featured four educational seminars and a large grand tasting with 51 wineries from 16 participating regions and nearly 300 trade and media attendees.
