Retiring and aspiring farmers and ranchers around the state are invited to a workshop near them! Rogue Farm Corps‘ day-long “Changing Hands: Workshops on Farm/Ranch Transfer and Access to Land” will be offered in:
- Baker City– Wednesday, 02/13/19
- Medford– Tuesday, 02/19/19
- Corvallis– Wednesday, 03/06/19
Workshops include 1 track for succession planning, 1 track for land access, and opportunities for facilitated networking throughout the day. Register now for early registration of $20.
Free half-day succession workshops will be held in:
- North Plains– Saturday, 2/16/19 (hosted by Tualatin SWCD)
- Hood River– Sunday, 2/17/19 (hosted by Gorge Grown Food Network, Columbia Gorge Community College, and Peoples Company)
- Redmond– Wednesday, 2/20/19
- Burns– Friday, 2/22/19
Events begin with a performance of Map of My Kingdom – a one-woman play that tackles the critical issue of land transition from the perspective of the farm family members, and offers ways to manage conflict and come up with a successful succession plan.
