Changes in federal immigration policy enforcement have led many in our wine community to ask what steps they can take to protect their businesses and communicate effectively with their workforces. In order to respond to the need for guidance and information, the Oregon Winegrowers Association has arranged two critical members-only educational opportunities in April.
An immigration forum will be held from 1:30-4 p.m. on Apr. 20 at the Chehalem Cultural Center in Newberg, which will include representatives from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the U.S. Customs and Immigration Services (USCIS), in addition to an expert panel of attorneys.
As not everyone can travel, the OWA will also host a webinar with attorneys from our legal counsel at Davis Wright Tremaine on Apr. 26, who will provide an overview of recent changes in federal immigration enforcement and help you understand your rights and obligations as an employer.
