From Erica Meadows at Burghound, seeking Oregon Pinot noir:
We are requesting pinot samples of current releases for Allen to review in an upcoming issue of Burghound.com. As you may know, we provide ongoing US pinot coverage (of course primarily Oregon and California), and samples can be submitted at any time during the year for review – although with the current weather, it’s a great time to submit samples. After they are reviewed, you simply need to write me and I’m happy to send along the reviews – you do not need a Burghound subscription to get your reviews.
Timing of reviews: For wines shipped from January – May, they will be reviewed within 2 quarterly issue releases of receipt of the samples. (Issues releases are mid-January, mid-April, mid-June and mid-October; the only issue without California and Oregon reviews is the mid-January release). So there is no submission schedule, but do know that if you submit wines later in the year, reviews may take 3 quarterly issues to appear since they are not in the January issue. We have some domaines that submit samples annually even before the final label is affixed – so whatever works for you. Do know that the wines rest in a climate controlled cellar until review.
Here is the link to submission information on our website – https://www.burghound.com/how-to-submit-winechampagne-samples/ – but of course, if you have any questions, please let me know.
