They are interested in reviewing wines that aren’t typically associated with Oregon, and while they’re not looking to review Chardonnay, Pinot Gris or Riesling, they are open to unique whites, such as:

Oregon has a new critic at The Wine Advocate, Erin Brooks, and she’s headed for Oregon in June.

Erin is planning her review of Oregon wines and has invited Oregon winemakers to submit wines for a comprehensive tasting while she visits. The Oregon Wine Competition at Oregon Wine Experience

The Oregon Wine Experience (OWE) is gearing up for its 15th year this August, with August 4-5 being the renowned Oregon Wine Competition®. They have steady submissions, but are looking to expand with new wineries throughout Oregon. The link to enter is here. The competition packet is available for download here, and the window for calls for entry is open through June 15, 2018

Proceeds from the Oregon Wine Experience benefit Asante Foundation. Foundation healthcare programs support various initiatives, including low-cost patient family housing, cancer compassion funds, nursing excellence programs, and cardiac rehabilitation programs for children.

Bellingham NW Wine Festival

The 3rd Annual Bellingham Northwest Wine Festival Grand Tasting is scheduled for Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the Four Points by Sheraton Grand Ballroom in Bellingham, Washington. All wineries from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and British Columbia are eligible to enter. Over 400 attendees, July 1 is the deadline for wineries submitting an application for the Festival along with wines for the judged competition. July 25 is the deadline for wineries submitting an application for the Festival only.

All wines awarded Gold, Double Gold and Best in Show medals are eligible for entires in the Wine Press NW Platinum judging.  [email protected] for questions.
