2018 V&E Research Listening Tour

Register to Join OWB for a Listening Session on Research

In June, the OWB Directors allocated a record amount of funding to viticulture and enology research projects for the 2018-19 fiscal year: $437,500.

Given this heightened commitment to scientific research and the desire to maximize the return on the industry’s investment in this program, the leadership of the OWB Research Committee is inviting all interested industry members to attend one of a series of listening sessions in late August. At these meetings, they will invite your candid comments, ideas and suggestions for making the OWB’s research program as responsive as possible to the industry’s present and emerging needs.

These will be open sessions with no preconceived outcomes in mind and no topics off limits. You do not need to be a Research Committee member or a viticulture expert to attend.

Here is the schedule. Register using the links below.

Monday, Aug. 27
9 – 11 a.m. – South Willamette Valley – Oregon Wine Lab, Eugene
2 – 4 p.m. – North Willamette Valley – OSU’s Yamhill County Extension Office, McMinnville

Tuesday, Aug. 28
noon – 2 p.m. *updated time* – Walla Walla Valley – Walla Walla Community College, Walla Walla, WA

Wednesday, Aug. 29

Thursday, Aug. 30

Your opinions and guidance will help the OWB dial in the research initiatives our industry must undertake to grow and thrive in the decades ahead. We look forward to seeing you in August and hearing your thoughts on this important undertaking.
