Media Alert: 2018 Oregon Wine A-List Awards nominations being accepted now through Oct. 31

The Oregon Wine Board and Oregon Wine Press have announced the nomination process is now open for the 2018 Oregon Wine A-List Awards. The program recognizes restaurants around the world for their support of Oregon wine and appreciation of the state’s diverse regions, varietals and producers.  Last year, 122 fine dining establishments across the globe were recognized as A-List winners.

The Oregon Wine A-List Awards offers two award designations:

Oregon Wine A-List Awards: Given to all nominated restaurants boasting wine lists showing a significant presence of Oregon wine, typically representing a variety of styles and producers, and detailing appellations. Within Oregon, restaurants must devote 30% or more of their selections to Oregon wine or feature at least 30 different Oregon producers. Outside Oregon, restaurants must devote 10% or more of their selections to Oregon wine or feature at least 10 different Oregon producers.

Oregon Wine A-List Wine Program of the Year: The highest honor awarded to a single restaurant and its wine program director each year with a wine program demonstrating a passionate devotion to Oregon wine. These restaurants display a deep commitment to Oregon wine by representing the vast diversity of fine wine produced across the state. The restaurant’s wine program director also shares their passion for Oregon wine by going above and beyond, offering deep selections of unique wine, vintage verticals, impressive regional diversity and/or staff and customer education.

Nominations can be submitted by anyone, including Oregon wine industry members, distributors, the general public and restaurants themselves.

To nominate a restaurant for consideration of a 2018 Oregon Wine A-List Award, simply submit this form by Oct. 31: http://www.oregonwine.org/a-list/submit-a-nomination/

Oregon Wine A-List Award winners will be announced in January 2018.
