Symposium Features Two Business Tracks Defined by Sales Channel

The 2017 Symposium’s business curriculum offers something for everyone! Owners, marketers, hospitality staff, direct sales managers and national salespeople alike will find plenty of learning opportunities geared toward their unique business concerns. Developed based on the feedback of past Symposium attendees, this year’s business sessions will be segmented by sales channel, providing strategies for success in both direct-to-consumer sales and working within the three-tier system.

The business curriculum kicks off with a joint session about assessing your business health. Next, industry leaders will share best practices on how to grow your business whether you are distributing your wine around the world, selling it directly through your tasting room, or a healthy mix of both. Direct-to-consumer sessions will cover tasting room culture, digital marketing campaigns, maximizing your wine club and events and more. The three-tier distribution track will include how to assess market potential, prepare for successful market visits and foster supportive distributor relationships.
