Support Our Industry by Completing Your 2017 Census

Dear Oregon Vineyard Owners and Wine Producers,

The 2017 Oregon Vineyard and Winery Survey is ready for your input.

The survey provides important census benchmark data on our industry and is an essential tool in understanding production and pricing trends. The information gathered serves as baseline data for tracking industry growth and is broadly used for marketing, investment, research and is also invaluable when local groups and winery associations apply for grant funding. As in the past, all individual vineyard and winery data provided to the third-party, non-profit partner will be held in confidence and will never be shared with the Oregon Wine Board or other agencies.

We are pleased to announce that this year we contracted with the Community Service Center (CSC), which is part of the University of Oregon’s School of Planning, Public Policy & Management. The CSC was established in 1973 and has provided economic and community development support to communities and organizations throughout Oregon. Due to staffing changes, Southern Oregon University was no longer able to field the survey or compile the results.

While we have a new partner conducting the census, the process will look much like it has in previous years. You will have the option to complete the survey through an online form, via electronic document or offline on paper. Your participation in this study is what makes it a success and without your assistance we would be unable to produce accurate reports. To reiterate, your crucial data is confidential and captured directly by the University of Oregon, never the OWB.

We look forward to your assistance completing this important study and thank you in advance for your participation.

Sincerely,

Tom Danowski
Executive Director
