Submit Oregon wines to JamesSuckling.com for review by February 29, 2024

Editor’s note: change in quantity as of 2/20/24: Suckling’s team can now accept four skus of wine, instead of two as was earlier requested.

Oregon producers are invited to submit four different skus of Oregon wine for the James Suckling Oregon Report, any variety of new releases that have not yet been reviewed by JamesSuckling.com. One bottle apiece, any variety, although the emphasis of the Oregon report will be on Pinot noir and Chardonnay. Wines should be those currently in the market, or soon-to-be released, and not yet rated by JamesSuckling.com.

If you don’t know if your wine has yet been reviewed, please email Berenice Maulhardt [email protected].

These will be reviewed by James Suckling and his team in March when they visit Oregon. Because they only have a few days here, they need to cap the submissions at 800 total, which we will track. When that amount is reached, wines may no longer be submitted, but they can be shipped to James Suckling’s offices in Hong Kong. Address will be forthcoming.

Finally, as an added assurance so the tasting team knows what’s coming, and so OWB can track what’s submitted for you, please fill this form out for each wine. There is no need to include tech sheets as this form will capture the specs they need.

If you would like to participate, please follow the instructions below:

Send or deliver your wines to Northwest Distribution & Storage to arrive by Thursday February 29, 2024. The address for shipping or drop off is:

Jason Flaig
Northwest Distribution & Storage
Oregon Wine Board/James Suckling 2024

Salem, OR 97302

  1. Please fill out this form for all wines submitted. 2024 James Suckling review. If you full out this form, there is no need to send additional tech sheets as James Suckling and his staff will receive these specs.
  2. Any wines, Pinot noir and Chardonnays and/or any other varieties from Oregon will be accepted and reviewed.
  3. Please submit no more than four wines per winery, and no barrel or tank samples will be accepted.
  4. All cases delivered to Northwest must be labeled “James Suckling 2024.”
  5. Send one bottle of wine per sample.

If you have any questions, please contact Sarah Murdoch at 503-967-8978 ext 1 or email  [email protected]
