May 30, 2023 | Consumer Marketing, Consumer Research, Education, Market & Industry Research, Oregon Wine Symposium, Trade Marketing |

Wine Fulfillment Compliance

Winery compliance across direct to consumer shipping and marketing is an increasingly complicated landscape. Join industry experts in the compliance space Alex Krobal, Jeff Giametta and Jackie Crawford as they dive deep into the common pitfalls wineries stumble upon with compliance.

Speakers Bio

Jackie Crawford began her career working in Federal Government Program Compliance and data system development. She then served as the Compliance Manager of Oregon Wine Services & Storage from 2014-2016. While working at Oregon Wine Services & Storage, it became clear to her that the Oregon wine industry was in need of an independent, local compliance service provider with the experience needed to help members of the industry navigate the complex network of laws, requirements and restrictions across the country. In August, 2016, she started Red Hills Compliance Services where she provides both small and large Oregon wineries with a full spectrum of compliance services. She also represents a small winegrower association in Oregon.

Jeff Giametta focuses on regulatory and licensing issues in the alcohol beverage industry, representing wineries, breweries, distilleries, restaurants, hotels, and other businesses in alcohol regulatory matters nationwide. He has significant experience counseling clients on state and federal alcohol regulatory and trade practice matters, with a particular emphasis on the marketing, advertising, and promotion of alcoholic beverages in both traditional and digital media. He also leads the firm’s team that handles licensing and permitting activities for alcohol beverage clients. Before joining DWT, Jeff managed the Regulatory Affairs and Compliance team for a large winery in California.

Alex Koral is the Regulatory General Counsel with Sovos ShipCompliant, a company which provides wineries with compliance and management tools about a recent report that was carried out.
