2024 Oregon Wine Export Activities and Interest Survey
Overview
OWB’s export activities are managed through the Northwest Wine Coalition (NWC), a partnership with the Washington State Wine Commission. The NWC receives USDA Market Access Program funding specifically earmarked for the promotion of Oregon and Washington wines internationally, helping elevate Oregon’s reputation statewide as a premium wine-producing region on the global stage.
To maintain that funding, the USDA requires data on Oregon wineries’ international activities as well as export success stories. This information also helps NWC identify opportunities for future promotions. This questionnaire gathers data necessary to support these efforts.
This study is being conducted by Bryant Christie Inc., the OWB’s international marketing services agency.
Participation
This survey is not exclusive to wineries currently exporting. Wineries that do not yet sell internationally are encouraged to answer a small number of multiple-choice questions to help OWB gauge the appetite of Oregon wineries in exploring export opportunities and assist them with getting involved in international programs
The questionnaire is open through February 15, 2025. Start the survey >>
Time to complete
Exporting wineries: 15-20 minutes
Non-exporting wineries: 3-5 minutes
Deliverables
BCI will provide an aggregated snapshot report of the data to OWB for its records and information. Data collected from wineries will only be reported to OWB in aggregate in order to maintain confidentiality. Detailed data by target market will be used to track year-to-year growth and long term growth trends, and to identify programming opportunities for Oregon wineries in key markets.
