Share Your Oregon Story. Come Over October.

This October, OWB is launching a storytelling-focused approach to Come Over October with the new theme: ‘Share Your Oregon Story’. We are inviting our community to share their stories of creating genuine connections through authentic experiences with Oregon Wine. Throughout October, OWB will promote these stories of connection across our social platforms.

Collaborate with Oregon Wine Board on Social Media.

Submit your imagery and vertical video content to help us tell authentic #OregonWine stories as part of OWB’s participation in the #ComeOverOctober campaign. Here’s how you can collaborate with us:

Step 1: Create content around one or more of the themes below for OWB to share, and for your winery to post, on social channels. Videos must be in vertical orientation and at least 10 seconds.

    • Classic Connection Theme:
      • Glasses clinking
      • People holding a glass and giving a toast or speech
      • Diverse faces, group types, environments and styles enjoying wine. (couples, friends, multi-generational groups, dressed up, in hiking gear, tasting room, couch at home, etc.)
      • Walking through the door, being welcomed by staff, hugs, greetings, etc.
    • Oregon Wine Employee Theme:
      • Staff working together: Punch-downs, cleaning, lifting and passing cases, pouring wine, laughing together, stacking boxes, moving bottles, taking a tasting break amongst barrels, etc.
        • Please ensure all staff have given consent to be photographed and shown on social media. This is a sensitive time for some vineyard workers, and safety is our priority.
        • Do not post content in real time to ensure safety/privacy of your staffs’ whereabouts.
    • Culinary Theme:
      • Tables that feature wine and people connecting over food and wine
    • Autumn Theme:
      • People connecting with wine in fall settings: autumn leaves, pumpkin patches, etc.
    • Romantic Theme:
      • Groups of two people enjoying wine in a date-like scenario in the afternoon/evening light in restaurant/winery settings

Step 2: Name the photo & video files in this format: YourWineryName_COO.

Step 3: Upload all videos to our CrowdRiff Platform below:

We may remove video audio, so please focus more on visuals than audio in these submissions. All submissions used will receive attributed credit to your winery, and we encourage you to use these videos to post on your owned social channels in addition to sending them to OWB.

Share Your Promotions

The OWB will send a consumer newsletter and media advisory in October to announce the Oregon wine industry’s participation in the COO campaign, and share the statewide promotions, events, and offers. If your business is participating with a promotion, please fill out the short form below by September 29, 2025, to tell us more about how your business is celebrating COO:

How Else Can You Participate in Come Over October?

Engagement and activation can be layered into programs and activities that you already have in motion. Ideas for participation include:

  • Post on social media throughout the month and tag @comeoveroctober and @oregonwineboard. Use the hashtags #comeoveroctober, #cometogetherforwine, #makeitanoregonstory and #oregonwine to maximize re-posting, reach and engagement.
  • Promote visitation with special offers and wine flights in October.
  • Host a special event and add it to OWB and COO event calendars (links below). (include links here)
  • Partner with a neighboring winery for customer referrals and shared club benefits during October.
  • Email your subscribers to offer promotions and shipping discounts during October.

What Tools are Available?

Make it an Oregon Story logo.

Oregon Wine Assets:
Add the logo to your assets and utilize this campaign messaging across all platforms.
Utilize imagery and content in your digital marketing efforts.

There are many free tools available on the COO website to help make your participation effort seamless.

COO Trade assets, logos, messaging, and social media:

  • One of the best ways to maximize your reach during October will be to engage on social media channels with the COO campaign and OWB.
  • You may also add your events to the COO Local Wine Events website, where all COO events are searchable by city and state.
  • COO will repost/share any posts using the #comeoveroctober and #cometogetherforwine hashtags.
  • Follow @comeoveroctober to see how others are getting in on the celebration.
  • Be sure to tag @oregonwineboard in your posts.
  • For retail trade activations, please note that Total Wine & More is a National supporter of COO.
