How Can My Winery Participate in Come Over October?

One of the most exciting aspects of COO is that engagement and activation is easily accessible and can be layered into programs and activities that you already have in motion. Ideas for participation include:

  • Host a special event at your tasting room or a partnering business (wine shop, restaurant) and add it to the OWB and COO event calendars (links below).
  • Partner with a neighboring winery for customer referrals and shared club benefits during October.
  • Incentivize current wine club members to visit with special offers and wine flights in October and invite their friends to join.
  • Email your subscribers to offer promotions and shipping discounts during October.
  • Posting on social media throughout the month and tagging @comeoveroctober and @oregonwineboard and using the hashtags #comeoveroctober, #cometogetherforwine, and #oregonwine to maximize re-posting, reach and engagement
  • We encourage your participation in this campaign via all channels that make sense for your business and show off the best of the Oregon wine industry’s collaborative spirit.

What Tools are Available?

There are many free tools available on the COO website to help make your participation effort seamless:

COO Trade assets, logos, messaging and social media:

  • One of the best ways to maximize your reach during October will be to engage on social media channels with the COO campaign and OWB.
  • COO will repost/share any posts using the #comeoveroctober and #cometogetherforwine hashtags.
  • Follow @comeoveroctober to see how others are getting in on the celebration.
  • Be sure to tag @oregonwineboard in your posts and we will re-post!
  • For retail trade activations, please note the Total Wine & More is a National supporter of COO.

Sharing Your Events

  • An OWB consumer newsletter will be sent in September to announce the Oregon Wine Industry’s participation in the COO campaign and will share out the promotions and events that our members have planned.
  • We invite you to add all of your events and activations to our events calendars here, or you may email them to Katie von Bargen, Director of Communications, by September 12 for inclusion in the consumer newsletter.
  • You may also add your events to the COO Local Wine Events website, where all COO events are searchable by city and state.
