2025 Oregon Wine Symposium | Compliance or Catastrophe? Navigating Email & Communication Laws

February 25, 2025 | Education, Oregon Wine Symposium |

Compliance or Catastrophe? Navigating Email & Communication Laws

Imagine this: Your holiday email campaign gets your entire domain blacklisted, instantly cutting off a major revenue stream. Or your SMS marketing triggers a TCPA lawsuit, costing thousands in fines. A customer files a class-action suit over your website’s ADA non-compliance, or an influencer’s off-the-cuff health claim puts your brand under regulatory fire. For wine brands, any single compliance slip can spiral into regulatory action, hefty fines, and years of brand-damaging legal battles.

The maze of regulations around email, SMS, social media, and digital advertising has never been more complex—or more actively enforced.

But here’s the relief: You can protect your brand without kneecapping your marketing. Join us for a practical, wine industry-specific guide to avoiding these landmines. In this session, you’ll get:
– A straightforward roadmap for navigating CAN-SPAM, TCPA, ADA, and data privacy regulations so you can market confidently.
– Essential protocols for email, SMS, and social media that keep your campaigns compliant
– Practical frameworks for managing all content—your own, plus that of influencers and affiliates—to keep everyone aligned with compliance
– A picture of what’s headed your way so you can stay ahead of the game

With real-world examples, proven processes, and actionable takeaways, we’ll show you exactly how to protect your brand from costly mistakes. This session is a must for any winery marketing director, compliance officer, or digital strategist who wants to cut through the legal complexity, safeguard their brand, and confidently engage customers across digital channels.
