Rob McMillan has the double designation of being named one of the Top 50 Most Influential People in the US Wine Industry three times, and being the only banker bestowed with this award. A frequent media commentator, international conference speaker, lecturer at several West Coast universities and State of the Wine Industry Report author for over 20 years, Rob’s opinions are trusted by wine producers, importers and financiers. Starting in 1992, Rob developed Silicon Valley Bank’s Wine Division from concept to start-up phase, to where it’s now regarded as the leading provider of financial services to the fine wine business. Rob received a bachelor’s degree in finance/economics from Sacramento State University and an MBA from Santa Clara University’s Leavey School of Business.
Christian Miller has worked in industry and market research and brand and category management for over two decades. He is the proprietor and director of Full Glass Research, providing economic and market research for food and beverage producers. His Oregon projects have ranged from measuring the economic impact of the wine industry to analysis of individual wineries’ sales and customers. Christian helped launch and continues to advise the Wine Opinions national consumer and trade panels. He holds a bachelor of arts in economics from Franklin & Marshall College and an M.B.A.
from Cornell University’s Johnson School of Management.
Danny Brager is the Senior Vice President of Nielsen’s Beverage Alcohol Practice Area in the U.S., supporting relationships with Nielsen’s beer, wine, and spirits clients, as well as with key industry groups and the media. Danny has 15 years of experience in the beverage alcohol industry, and for the past 30 plus years has held a variety of marketing and sales positions with Nielsen, as well as with the Beverage Information Group, and Resources Optimization International (ROI). A board member of the Wine Market Council, Danny holds an Honors Bachelor of Business Administration from York University in Toronto, Canada.
