DescriptionBarking Dog Winery is seeking a Wine Sales Representative to lead the development and execution of a robust sales strategy for our brand. The Wine Sales Representative will play a crucial role in translating long-term business strategies into actionable plans and will serve as a prominent representative of the Barking Dog label within the industry. Key responsibilities include the expansion and management of the Barking Dog wine club, overseeing our e-commerce sales initiatives, and developing sales channels with local businesses. This position reports directly to the owner and managing partner, reflecting the significance of your role within our growing organization.

Barking Dog is a young and promising 15-acre vineyard in the Chehalem Mountains AVA near Newberg, Oregon producing approximately 2000 cases a year. It is considered a high-altitude vineyard site with elevations between 760 and 1100 feet. Slopes are steep, south facing, and consist of decomposed basalt and marine sedimentary soils. The vineyard is planted with five Pinot Noir clones (Wädenswil, 667, 777, Coury, and Mt. Eden) on 3309 and 101-14 root stock. We are committed to producing high quality, classic Pinot Noir, Pinot Noir Blanc and Rose. The vineyard is LIVE, Salmon Safe and Bee Friendly certified.

Applicant is ideally local to the Newberg/Portland area.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Build and implement annual business plans for our Direct to Consumer (DTC), Charity and Business to Business (B2B) sales channels
- Oversee all operations of our sales channels - handle all customer interactions, shipping and logistics, and sales & inventory management
- Responsible for strategically growing the Barking Dog wine club, attracting and retaining club members, developing high quality and engaging experiences, and exceeding member expectations through service
- Work collaboratively with owner to develop and manage a strong e-commerce / marketing strategy with alignment of offerings across channels
- Measure and track performance metrics across sales channels,
- Implement changes as needed to achieve and exceed sales goals and objectives
- Participate in industry events and activities, representing Barking Dog Vineyard & Winery in a positive leadership role, and develop good will within the Oregon Wine Industry
- Enjoy and take pride in the quality of our wine and the charities we support

Job Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar capacity
- Strong knowledge and appreciation of quality wine
- Must be self-directed and process strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills and follow through
- Demonstrated track record of sales success, creation and management of budgets
- Experience with compliance laws specific to the wine industry
- High level of computer proficiency, wine industry software experience preferred
- Bachelors Degree preferred
- Ability to lift 45 pounds
