DescriptionWe are looking for a dynamic leader with a hospitable spirit who will be leading our Tasting Room staff and Events team in the execution of providing a memorable and elevated wine country experience to our guests. We work hard and play hard, and we like each other!

Tasting Room Management:
• Oversees daily operations of the tasting room
• Creates and tracks sales targets for TR staff
• Builds a cohesive, supportive environment in which they can achieve and exceed goals
• Leads by example and coaches team to provide outstanding and memorable wine country experiences for every guest
• Resolves customer concerns quickly and proactively
• Collaborates with Cellar Club Coordinator to ensure growth and an intended wine club experience
• Collaborates on the annual budget for the tasting room
• Partners in a leadership role with the culinary team to ensure high level of service
• Responds to customer in a timely and professional manner

Relationship Management:
• Is the face and example of hospitality to our customers
• Works with the Club Coordinator to ensure loyalty/marketing plan and programs are communicated to staff
• Analyzes consumer spending habits and works in tandem with the Marketing Manager to focus marketing campaigns to reward and retain existing consumers
• Manages consumer relationships with VIP’S and Direct Sales customers
• Arranges for and assists in hosting private tours & tastings for members (both virtual and in person)

Events:
• Ensures all event requests are promptly responded to and confirmed events are planned and executed exceptionally well while achieving strategic goals
• Works with appropriate internal contacts on execution and ensures staffing and internal calendars are updated.
• Events may include Cellar Club events, national sales events, industry events, winery events (including large open house, private,& virtual events
• Assists with the budget and marketing plan for events
• Works with Consumer Sales Director and Marketing to create event and promotional efforts to gain customers and increase sales

Requirements
• 5+ years related hospitality/sales management experience (wine, retail, restaurant, etc.) or a commensurate amount of experience
• Passionate about wine and the wine/food lifestyle
• Able to lead a successful team through open and complete communication
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Strong reasoning, judgment, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Creative thinking skills and able to think outside the box
• Proven leadership qualities with a desire to learn
• Able to multi-task and prioritize within multiple departments, simultaneously, with a calm sense of urgency
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent training skills; able to teach and demonstrate various skills
• Solid computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Able to sit, walk, rotate, and stand, for long periods of time
• Must have or be able to obtain an OLCC server’s permit and Food Handler’s card
• Forklift certified or willing to be certified

Position Comments
• This position will report to the Consumer Sales Director
• Hours and days will vary and are based on the needs of the business
• Weekend and holiday work will be required
• This is an exempt position
