This is an exciting opportunity to work at one of Oregon’s earliest winemaking pioneers, Silvan Ridge, producing a wide range of white and red wines. The Harvest Cellar Intern is responsible for operations relating to the production of Silvan Ridge wines during the harvest, while promoting a team-oriented environment within the department and company. The ideal candidate will be able to work 40-60 hours a week. An interest in wine production and previous experience is desired but not required. This will be a great learn-by-doing experience. The internship will last approximately end of September through beginning of November, depending on the harvest season.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
CELLAR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Loading/unloading trucks with forklift
-Sorting/processing fruit into tanks
-Pumpovers/punchdowns
-Wine & juice transfers
-Barrel work
-Cleaning/sanitizing
SAFETY: Maintains a high level of safety awareness with all staff through ongoing meetings and training. Responsible for adherence to all safety procedures.
TEAMWORK: Adheres to and supports company policies and decisions in a positive manner. Cooperates with others to ensure the best overall results for Silvan Ridge Winery.
OTHER DUTIES: Other jobs or special projects may arise outside the realm of this job description. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
