The Facilities Associate is key to maintaining smooth operation of A to Z Wineworks’ production and facilities equipment.

Duties may involve:
• plumbing
• insulating
• welding
• fabricating
• carpentry
• Repairing electrical equipment, buildings, floors, or stairs.

System’s maintained:
• HVAC
• Refrigeration
• Water and waste water
• Presses & pumps
• Building & grounds
• De-stemmers & glycol control systems.

Provides documentation of daily work activity, including accessing, updating and closing work orders. Accurately manage inventory of repair parts with cost analysis in mind. Assists in maintaining company compliance with local, state and federal regulations, including updating required documentation. Familiarity with SDS and hazard communication. The position requires full-time onsite presence at the winery, with the ability to modify the work days and hours for the harvest season and/or in support of special projects or events.

The Candidate

This position is ideal for someone who considers themselves a jack-of-all trades who can manage multiple projects with an eye for detail and the ability to find creative solutions. The ideal Facilities Associate takes pride in their workmanship and a presentable work environment, and a service-oriented approach to the people and departments their work supports. We value candidates who will proactively identify opportunities for increased efficiency, cost savings, safety, security and sustainability.

Prior experience in manufacturing or fabrication is ideal, along with familiarity operating a variety of equipment, hand and power tools. Must be proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel. Experience with maintenance recordkeeping or ticket system highly desirable. This position requires strong written and oral communication skills; bilingual English and Spanish is a plus. Requires the ability to work in all areas of facility, including outdoors in varying weather and terrain. Position requires the ability to frequently stand, walk, climb, crouch, work in confined spaces, and at heights of up to 50’. You must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Prior experience operating forklift, and aerial work platforms preferred. Ability to work within OSHA guidelines with respect to LOTO, confined space entry, equipment operation, fall protection, proper use of PPE etc.
