DescriptionPortland Cider Company is looking to add another Cider Maker to our cider production team! Portland Cider Co.’s cidery and headquarters islocated in Clackamas, OR. The ideal Assistant Cider Maker is someone who is willing to wear multiple hats and is excited to work in the craft cider industry. No experience is required for this entry-level position, but you must be detail-oriented, thoughtful, efficient, organized, considerate, and respectful.

Responsibilities
Come in prepared to work. Understand the day's objective by communicating with the rest of the cider production team.
Responsible for all cellar sanitation operations like keg and tank washing.
Assist the cider-making team with transferring cider, kegging and ensuring all equipment meets company’s SOPs (standard operating procedures).
Assist the packaging team as directed by the cider production manager.
Clean all tanks that are empty, dirty, and need to be cleaned.
Complete fermentation checks.
General cidery maintenance and sanitation tasks, including warehouse organization.

$20-30 hourly pay rate, depending on experience.

You’ll be working with an experienced, tight-knit cider production team, all being fully experienced and able to support your desire to learn about the industry.


Must-Have
Desire to learn and troubleshoot
Must be physically fit to meet position’s demands and reach, bend, stoop and stand for extended periods as needed.
Willingness to support in several cidermaking areas
Schedule availability to work a 40 hour work week, ideally M-F for first 90 day training period and then Sunday - Thursday permanently.
Situational Awareness
Interest in Oregon Craft Beverages
Patience
Responsibility

Nice to Have
Experience with operating industrial equipment, such as forklifts, canning lines, cartoning machines, keg washers, etc.
Mechanical Aptitude
Experience operating a packaging/canning line (we use a Cask ACS V5).
