2024 Oregon Wine Symposium | Climatology Report, Oregon Wine Economic Impact Report and Oregon Wine Research Update

March 19, 2024 | Economic Impact Studies, Education, Oregon Wine Symposium, OWB Funded Research, Weather & Climate Forecasts | 0 comments

Climatology Report, Oregon Wine Economic Impact Report and Oregon Wine Research Update

Dr. Eyler will provide the results of the 2022 economic impact study of Oregon’s wine industry on the state economy commissioned by Oregon Wine Board.  The review provides insights on the business revenues, wages, jobs and taxes generated and supported by Oregon’s vineyards, wineries, distributors of wine, wine retailers, and visitors to wineries.  The revenue and wage growth is positive from 2019, with jobs less than 2019, a reflection of the pandemic’s shadow obscuring the economy in 2022.  Dr. Eyler will also address the economic outlook, and thoughts from Full Glass Research and Wine Market Council (a partner on this project) and their consumer outlook.
