Spice Up the Inbox: Email Marketing for Customer Acquisition & Retention – Mini Session with WineDirect

With lower tasting room traffic on the horizon in 2021, it’s imperative for wineries to diversify their channels to find – and keep – new customers. In this session, Adrienne Stillman, Marketing Director for WineDirect, and Kim Kramer, 2nd generation vintner at Kramer Vineyards, will take a deep dive into how to use social media and email marketing to convert new customers and keep them coming back for more.

We’ll discuss:

  • How to use Facebook ads to acquire new subscribers
  • How to get new subscribers to buy
  • Why personalization is important – and some easy tips on where to start
  • How to measure your success

With a passion for all things beverage, small business and technology, Adrienne Stillman currently serves as director of marketing for WineDirect as well as consulting directly with wineries. Her background spans all areas of marketing and communications with particular expertise in email marketing and ecommerce. Adrienne’s previous experience includes PR and digital strategy for a variety of wine and spirits brands from large multi-nationals to small boutique producers. She also authored the books “Where Bartenders Drink” and “Spirited: Cocktails from Around the World” (Phaidon 2017 and 2020). Adrienne is a Certified Sommelier, holds a B.A. in economics from Barnard College and completed the Wine & Beverage graduate program at the Culinary Institute of America. A New York City native, she lives in Napa Valley with her husband and their dog. Find her online @alstillman or www.adriennestillman.com.
Growing up in the wine industry, Kim Kramer had little interest in the vineyard. That all changed in her 20s when she began to work for a neighboring Oregon winery. Through education and exploring the wine industry as an adult, she fell in love with sparkling wine and Pinot noir. Her newfound passion is what brought her into the family business by 2008. In 2010 Kim took over as head winemaker. She plans and implements all aspects of winemaking from harvest through bottling. Kim loves making wine on the Kramer 22-acre estate because of the diverse microclimates, vintage variation and carrying on her family’s legacy as a second-generation winemaker. Her wines have been featured in Forbes, Wine Enthusiast, the Washington Post, and on Good Day Oregon.
