Oregon Wine Board Brings 50 Wineries to LA on April 24

PORTLAND, March 13, 2018 — Drink fine Oregon wines till your heart’s content when 50 Oregon winemakers descend on Los Angeles for Oregon Wine Trail, a one-day event on April 24 at The Line Hotel in Los Angeles. Hosted by the Oregon Wine Board, the event will feature artisan winemakers and their hand-crafted wines partnered with Oregon food companies that have gained a national following, including Olympia Provisions, Salt & Straw, Stumptown Coffee Roasters and more. Chefs Collaborative, a national nonprofit working with chefs to build a better food system, is the community partner for the event, and Los Angeles wine lovers will be treated to pours with many winemakers and growers on hand.

“LA is the perfect place to start spreading the love for the work done by our 725 winemakers in Oregon,” said Sally Murdoch, communications manager at the Oregon Wine Board. “This event will be an immersive Oregon experience and our hope is that LA’s wine enthusiasts will fall in love with what we’re making and pouring, then order them at their favorite restaurants and buy them at their local wine shops. Maybe even schedule a visit up on Oregon and see us first-hand, too.”

Salt & Straw Ice Cream is a family-run, ice cream company known for their taste provoking, imaginative ice cream creations. Every ice cream flavor is handmade in small five to ten gallon batches in local kitchens using only all natural cream from nearby farms and the best local, organic and sustainable ingredients.

Stumptown Coffee Roasters has been roasting heirloom coffee daily since 1999. They don’t buy in bulk on a trading floor. They buy directly from the people who are making the coffee. It’s not a transaction; it’s a partnership.
