Refresh Tasting Room Associates On Oregon Wines Fly Free

With the holiday travel and gift-giving season around the corner, now is a great time to ensure your tasting room associates understand your participation in Oregon Wines Fly Free and know how to use the program to encourage sales.

To clarify program logistics, we’ve put together an FAQ to field questions from both staff and guests. Staff fluency with the program’s details will ensure the best possible customer experience and the greatest likelihood of the program helping you sell more wine.

As a reminder, any Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan member can check a case of wine for free, not only those visiting from out of state. Your neighbors are also welcome to take a taste of Oregon with them as they visit family and friends for the holidays. Encourage your tasting room associates to not only ask where people have traveled from, but where they might be traveling to as a prompt to discuss the Oregon Wines Fly Free program.

As a participating winery, you have also agreed to extend complimentary tastings to inbound travelers who present the required documentation. Revisit those documentation requirements in the FAQ with your staff to ensure they know how to provide service in line with visitor expectations.
