Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the OWB team in support of the Strategic Plan
- Work in collaboration with OWB Directors, regional associations, industry members, and academic institutions
- Champion Oregon’s world-class wine story domestically and internationally
- Foster and advance industry alliances, including Washington State Wine Commission, California Wine Institute, Travel Oregon, Oregon and US Departments of Agriculture, and others
- Continuously evaluate the state of the wine industry to guide and adapt the organization’s priorities to meet changing needs
Bio:
Gina Bianco brings to the Oregon Wine Board a collaborative, enterprising spirit and a proven ability to cultivate high-performing, resourceful, and inspired teams. She began her wine career leading Rogue Valley Vintners in August 2020, navigating the organization and wine community through the dual crises of a global pandemic and devastating wildfires. Over her 3.5-year tenure, Gina worked closely with wine industry stakeholders to address challenges, foster unity, and build consensus.
Prior to joining Oregon’s wine industry, Gina spent over two decades in healthcare management and led her own consultancy, where she applied creative problem-solving and strong relationship-building skills across complex organizations.
A passionate lifelong learner, Gina earned a Master’s Degree in Wine Management from the Culinary Institute of America in St. Helena, California, where she received the Academic Achievement Award. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and Healthcare Management, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Marketing.
Outside of work, Gina enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, reading, traveling, enjoying Oregon wine and exploring the outdoors.
