Andy Steinman is a Partner and CFO of Walter Scott Wines in the Eola-Amity Hills nested AVA of the Willamette Valley
He is also a Principal of Global Wine Partners, a Wine Industry focused Merger & Acquisitions and Financial Advisory firm that has completed hundreds of transactions with Oregon, California and Washington wineries and vineyards.
Andy and his wife Sue are also the financial partners in 4 noted Portland area restaurants, Le Pigeon, Canard, Canard Oregon City and the new Canard Beaverton.
Combined, this background gives him an understanding of the wine industry from a broad perspective.
Andy and Sue moved to Oregon from the East Coast in 2007 and soon immersed themselves in our state’s Wine and Food culture, partnering in the opening of Little Bird restaurant in 2010 and joining the founding partners of Walter Scott in 2012 to help scale the fledgling brand.
Walter Scott is a classic Oregon Wine story, growing from a modest, bootstrapped beginning to a successful, critically recognized 7,500 case winery, with a focus on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Since getting involved in the Wine Industry, Andy has served on the Board of Directors of the Oregon Winegrowers Association and the Eola-Amity Hills Winegrowers Association, including serving a term as President of each organization.
Andy’s prior career was focused on entrepreneurship, building successful businesses in Consumer-Packaged Goods, Computer Accessories, and Software. He graduated from Carnegie-Mellon University with a B.S. in Management Science and later earned his MBA in Marketing from the University of Chicago.
