OWB To Offer Free Shipping to 2019 TEXSOM International Wine Awards

The producers of the annual TEXSOM conference, considered by many to be the most prominent and influential wine trade education conference in the U.S., are the force behind TEXSOM International Wine Awards (TIWA). In 2018, the TIWA garnered more than 3,200 entries representing 29 countries and 19 states, a record for the competition. The Oregon Wine Board has identified this as an important competition due to its esteemed panel of judges and influence among the world’s top buyers, and is working to support the expansion of Oregon’s presence at these awards. In partnership with the Oregon Wine Board, FedEx will generously sponsor the shipment of TIWA entries beginning Nov. 1. In the coming weeks you will receive an email with detailed instructions for how to take advantage of this opportunity. In the meantime, you are encouraged to review the entry procedures and prepare your submissions.

In 2018, 31 wineries took advantage of this program resulting in more overall Oregon wine entries and a 20% increase in award-winning Oregon wines representing 12 AVAs and 22 varieties. Read more about Oregon’s results.
