2015 Oregon Wine Symposium Registration Now Open
Dec 12, 2014 — Registration for the 2015 Oregon Wine Symposium, the largest annual wine industry educational event in the Pacific Northwest, is now open. Scheduled for Feb. 24-25 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, the Oregon Wine Symposium offers an unprecedented depth of information, insight and resources for all members of the wine industry.

Nominations Open for the 2015 Oregon Wine A-List Awards
Oct. 20, 2014 — Nominations are officially open for the 2015 Oregon Wine A-List Awards. Formerly known as the Superior Cellar Awards, the rebranded Oregon Wine A-List Awards program honors restaurants and restaurant professionals that demonstrate outstanding commitment to advocating and celebrating the quality and diversity of the wines of Oregon.
Oregon’s 2014 wine grape harvest is underway
Sept. 18, 2014 — Oregon’s 601 wineries and 905 vineyards are delighted as the early outlook for the 2014 vintage is prosperous. Ideal growing conditions in the spring and summer have the state’s $2.7 billion wine industry poised for a potential record harvest.
Oregon Wines Fly Free Again on Alaska Airlines in 2014
April 18, 2014 – In honor of Oregon Wine Month, the Oregon Wine Board, Travel Oregon and Alaska Airlines have partnered to bring back the Oregon Wines Fly Free program. Beginning May 1, visitors traveling from Oregon on an Alaska Airlines flight can check a case of Oregon wine for free. Oregon is the first state to partner with the airline on a statewide wines fly free program. More than 250 Oregon wineries joined the program in 2013.
Governor appoints three directors to Oregon Wine Board
Jan. 7, 2014 – Gov. John Kitzhaber appointed one new director to the Oregon Wine Board (OWB) and reappointed two current directors to second terms. John Pratt, owner of Celestina Vineyards in the Rogue Valley, was appointed to a three-year term. Bill Sweat of Winderlea Vineyard and Winery and David Beck of The Crawford Beck Vineyard were re-appointed to three-year terms.
